Hosted by Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard, in the dynamic and picturesque setting of Newport, Rhode Island, nearly 100 charter brokers attend the show, which will feature sailing and motor vessels from 60 to 200+ feet.

The team at Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard has made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 Newport Charter Yacht Show presented by Helly Hansen Newport slated for June 22-25. “We are considering holding it concurrently, or just prior to, the Newport International Boat Show and Newport Brokerage Boat Show which is scheduled for September 17-20,” said General Manager Eli Dana. “We will also explore virtual Charter Yacht Show opportunities and educational options in the coming weeks,” added Show Director Veronica Brown.

Over the four days of June 17-20 Newport Shipyard buzzed with activity as it catered to charter yacht brokers, agents and other industry professionals attending the year’s Newport Charter Yacht Show presented by Helly Hansen Newport. Owned and operated by the Shipyard, the show exclusively showcases private luxury yachts for charter and offers attendees a chance to interact directly with yacht captains and crews and catch up on marine industry progress…

One of the special highlights of every year’s Newport Charter Yacht Show presented by Helly Hansen Newport is the Chef’s Competition, which is held under the Show Tent where all attending brokers, managers and other charter industry professionals can enjoy a break from business and gain further insight into the personalities of those who normally spend their days lavishing attention on charter guests. This year’s show, which ran from Monday, June 17 through Thursday, June 20 hosted 24 world-class yachts: nineteen motor yachts and five sailing vessels, half of which were more than 100 feet in length and all of which were docked within easy walking distance of each other at the mega yacht-friendly Newport Shipyard, which also owns and operates the event.
